UDHAMPUR, Jan 1: Eight persons were injured in three different road accidents, here today while a youth sustained critical injuries after falling from rooftop of a hotel at Patnitop.
According to the reports, a Hyundai eon car JK14C-6555 was hit by a truck JK14E-1659 near Manwal resulting into injuries to four persons travelling in the car. Police shifted the injured persons to PHC Majalta where doctors referred them GMC Hospital Jammu.
The injured were identified as Youv Raj (22) son of Bachitter Singh of Pathankot, Vishal Singh (31) son of Kuldeep Singh of Barnoti Kathua, Madhu Sudan (22) son of Madan Mohan of Manwal and Ajay Sharma (23) son of Charan Dass of Manwal.
In another accident near Chinar, a van bearing registration number no JK14D-3659, coming from Udhampur to Chopra shop, collided with one Mahindra Tata Mobile JK14B-1973. Two persons in the van, sustained injuries in the collision. Both the injured were shifted to Army Hospital Udhampur for treatment.
Two motorcyclists were injured when their bikes collided at Shiv Nagar Udhampu. The injured, identified as Yash Paul (30), son of Jagu Ram of Shiv Nagar Udhampur and Balbir Singh (24), son of Prem Singh of Galiot Panchari were shifted to District Hospital Udhampur for treatment. Later, Balbir Singh was referred to GMC Hospital Jammu.
Meanwhile, a youth working at Hotel Vardaan in Patnitop, sustained serious injuries when he fell from the hotel rooftop. Identified as Bittu Ram (24), son of Shiv Ram of Gauri Kund, the injured was rushed to Sub-district Hospital Chenani where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu.
