8 bovines rescued

UDHAMPUR, May 9: Police foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued eight bovines, which were being smuggled to Kashmir.
A team of Police Station Majalta, while performing vehicle checking duty at Battal Naka point, stopped a group of eight bovines, which were being taken on foot towards Kashmir without any valid permission.
Sensing trouble, the alleged smuggler fled from the spot as soon as Police noticed movement of the bovines.
Police rescued all the bovines and registered a case FIR No. 42/2025 under relevant Sections of law at Police Station Majalta.
