73 cases settled in 157th Defence Pension Adalat

JAMMU, May 28: The 157th Defence Pension Adalat was held at Community Hall, PCDA (NC) Narwal Pain, Satwari, here, wherein 73 cases were settled.
The Adalat inaugurated by Tarun Kumar Jagoria, IDAS, CDA (PD) Meerut, was organized for redressal of grievances of defence pensioners including defence civilians residing in the Jammu District and adjoining areas.
The Adalat was organized by CDA (PD) Meerut under the aegis of the Controller General of Defence Accounts, New Delhi in consultation with Ministry of Defence. The infrastructural support in organizing the Adalat was provided by Tiger Gunners under the aegis of Tiger Division.
The officials from Ministry of Defence, Defence Accounts Department, Public Sector Banks, Records Offices and Zila Sainik Board were present on the occasion.
In his address, Tarun Kumar Jajoria highlighted various projects being implemented for improving the services provided to pensioners. He also mentioned newly implemented e-PPOs, e-payments and pensioners portal through which pensioners may seek clarification on their pension related issues.
Brigadier Atul Kumar also addressed the veterans and asked them to utilize this opportunity. He also expressed gratitude to CDA for wholehearted efforts in resolving the pension related issues of all veterans.
In the Adalat, a total of 194 cases were registered, out of which 73 cases have been settled on the spot and 121 cases are under correspondence with concerned authority.
