JAMMU, Apr 30: 719th birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Sain Ji Maharaj was celebrated by Sain Samaj of J&K at Moti Bazaar here.
On the occasion, the chief guest was Former MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta.
The celebration started with paying homage to Sant Shiromani Sain Dass Ji maharaj by mammoth gathering of the biradari and dignitaries. Former MLA Rajesh Gupta also paid homage to the great saint and reminded of his great deeds and virtues.
The prizes and mementos were distributed to the outstanding students of the biradari and sewing machines were distributed among the destitute and needy women of the community.
The speakers recall the great virtues and events of Sant Shiromani Sain Ji Maharaj who had spread the message of equality, liberty, justice and humanity, which was the sole aim of the great Saint for all the mankind.
They said that Sant Shiromani Sain Ji Maharaj worked for the upliftment of the poor and down trodden communities.
The function was organized under the supervision of J&K Sain Samaj headed by its President Kasturi Lal Basotra and General Secretary ML Tadyal.
Among others present were Anil Masoom, Daleep Gupta, Shashi Sapolia, Rajinder Gupta, Rajinder Sikka. Madan Gopal, Tony, Subash Sangra, Gokul Koul, Arun Datta, Sahil Gupta, Subash Anand, Balkrishan, Raju Kohli, Suabsh Gupta and Darshan Singh.
