JAMMU, June 12: A total 70 candidates are in fray in district Jammu for the elections to the District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee.
District Election Officer, Sher Singh told the Excelsior that today was the last day of filing nomination papers and total 70 candidates have filed papers for the 11 seats of DGPC members in the district. He said scrutiny will be held on June 16 and June 19 is the last date of withdrawal of nominations. The elections will be held on July 8.
In Poonch district, total 33 members are in fray, 32 in district Kathua while 26 in district Udhampur.
