DODA, Aug 22: Seven passengers received injuries when a Tata Sumo they were travelling in, turned turtle near Shoran area of tehsil Gandoh.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK06-1738 was on its way to Gandoh from Champel, when the driver failed to negotiate a sharp curve and the vehicle turned turtle on the road, resulting into injuries to seven passengers.
After getting information, police team along with locals immediately reached the spot and rescued all the passengers and shifted them to Sub District Hospital Gandoh, where their condition was said to be stable, when last reports came in.
All passengers were going to witness the wrestling competition at Gandoh, when their vehicle met with an accident.
The injured persons have been identified as Bal Mukand (40), son of Dev Chand, Bushan Singh (30), son of Nek Ram, Sachin Kotwal (21), son of Rajinder Kotwal, Harminder Singh (28), son of Puran Chand and Kartar Singh (40), son of Tirth Ram, all residents of Champel Gandoh, Pervaz Ahmed (35), son of Ali Mohammad, a resident of Baglie and Hans Raj (52), son of Shadi Lal, a resident of Bagli Bhallesa.
A case in this regard has been registered at police station Gandoh and investigation started.
