7 gamblers arrested, stake money recovered

SAMBA, Feb 21: Samba police arrested seven gamblers and recovered Rs 4820 stake money from their possession at New Bus Stand area here today.
Police said as per reliable information a team of Police Station Samba headed by Inspector Shiv Dev Singh, SHO, Police Station Samba raided at gambling site near New Bus Stand area of Samba where seven person were playing cards. The police arrested all of them and recovered Rs 4820 as stake money from their possession. Police also recovered playing cards from the spot.
Police said they have been identified as Raj Kumar, son of Sita Ram, Radhay son of Sukhdev Ram, Shiv Kumar, son of Kaidar Nath, Bharat, son of Roshan Lal, Shankar son of Suresh, Budh Ram, son of Manharan and Binda, son of Hira Patel all are resident of Bihar at present in New Bus Stand Samba.
The whole operation was conducted under the overall supervision of SSP Samba, Dr Koushal Sharma under the direct supervision of DySP, Headquarter, Samba, Deepak Digra.
Police has taken cognizance of the matter and started further investigation.
