Srinagar Nov 17: Seven candidates filed nomination papers from 15 Assembly constituencies of Baramulla, Budgam and Pulwama in Kashmir valley so far with six filing today. These constituencies are voting on December 9 in the third phase of polls.
The District Election Officer Baramulla, Farooq Ahmad Lone told Excelsior that four candidates filed their nominations so far from six Assembly constituencies of the district.
Lone said that Congress leader Taj Mohi-ud-Din filed his nomination papers from Uri Assembly constituency today. An independent candidate Mudasir Manzoor Wani filed from Sopore today while another independent candidate, Sajjad Hussain Sheikh had filed his nomination papers from Sopore yesterday. He said that Mohammad Aslam Dedad, an independent candidate filed nomination papers from Baramulla today.
The District Election Officer Budgam, Manzoor Ahmad Lone told Excelsior that three candidates filed their nomination papers from 5 Assembly constituencies of Budgam district today.
Lone said Mohammad Yaseen Hakeem filed his nomination papers from Khan Sahib, Ghulam Mohidin Bhat alias Mohidin Montazir of PDP filed his nomination papers from Budgam and Independent candidate Mohammad Rafiq Dar filed his nomination papers from Budgam today.
However, District Election Officer Pulwama, Sajjad Ahmad said that no candidate filed nomination papers from four Assembly constituencies of Pulwama district today.
