UDHAMPUR, Dec 9: Police Party of Police Station Majalta today apprehended one drug peddler and seized 7.5 kg poppy straw from his possession.
The consignment was being smuggled in a truck (PB32B-2742), which was intercepted by a Police party of PS Majalta, led by SHO Virender Gupta and ASI Krishan Lal, during a naka at Police Check Post Battal.
Police seized the consignment and arrested the truck driver, namely Ajay Singh, son of Gurdiyal of Lashara, Tehsil Garh Shanker, District Hoshiarpur.
In this connection, case FIR number 112 / 2021 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Majalta.
