KATHUA May 14: In a major success against Narco smuggling, Kathua Police seized 680 kilograms of poppy straw and nabbed an Inter-State Narco smuggler.
A team of Police Station Kathua led by Nikhil Rasgotra Dy.SP Headquarters during surprise checking near Dream Land Park intercepted one truck bearing registration number JK18- 2910 and seized 29 bags in which total of 680 Kg of poppy straw was being smuggled.
Police arrested the Narco smuggler namely Kulvinder Singh, S/o Bhajan Singh, R/o Mandiala Phillaur, Jalandhar, Punjab.
Police seized the truck, registered FIR and investigation set into motion.
Kathua Police is striving hard to weed out drug menace and it appealed the people of the area to come forward and join hands with police for the cause.
