SRINAGAR, Dec 17: Sixty eight per cent students qualified the class 10th examination in Kashmir province, results for which were declared by the Board of School Education (BOSE) today with first 9 positions bagged by girls.
Out of 49027 students appeared in the examination conducted in October this year, 29587 students have passed the examination, while 19440 have failed to clear the examination.
Out of top ten positions nine are secured by girls and only tenth position is secured by a boy.
Iqra Bashir Maqdoomi, daughter of Bashir Ahmad Maqdoomi of Model Public Higher Secondary School, Sopore and Samma Malik daughter of Ishtiyak Ahmad Malik of Mallinson Girls Higher Secondary School shared the first position with 99.67 percent marks.
The second position was bagged by Bushra Manzoor, daughter of Dr Manzoor Ahmad Zargar of Mallinson Girls Higher Secondary School with 98.60 per cent.
The third position was shared by Fiza Farooq daughter, of Farooq Ahmad Rather of Prime High School, Barzulla, Faiqa Khan, daughter of Shah Sikander of Mallinson Girls Higher Secondary School, Khushnuma Mushtaq, daughter of Mushtaq Ahmad Ganai of Mallinson Girls Higher Secondary School and Zilmiraj Khan of Mallinson Girls Higher Secondary School with 98.40 percent.
Shahzaib Rehman, son of Abdul Rehman of JK Public School, Humhama got fourth position with 491 marks. And the Presentation Convent Higher Secondary School has opened its mark at the 4th position.
1378 students have secured Grade A1, 3727 Grade A2, 4834 Grade B1, 6099 Grade B2, 7199 grade C1, 5754 Grade C2 and only 629 are in Grade D.
