JAMMU, Jan 29: Various educational institutions celebrated 65th Republic Day with zeal and enthusiasm.
Republic Day was celebrated with pomp and show at Government Higher Secondary School, Chowki Choura, Akhnoor. Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Sham Lal Sharma was the chief guest, while KR Verma, Vice Chairman, OBC Board, AK Tickoo, Principal, staff members and students were also present. Children from various adjoining schools presented cultural items.
65th Republic Day was celebrated at Government High School, Sattain, district Udhampur. Ashok Kumar, Headmaster along with Sarpanch Sattain Halqa unfurled the National Flag in presence of staff members and students. Children from various schools presented cultural items. Prizes were distributed among the participating schools.
Government Middle School, Souram, zone Samba celebrated Republic Day. Krishan Singh, Lambardar and Kanta Devi, panch hoisted the National Flag, followed by National Anthem, March Past, patriotic songs, yoga, physical exercise, folk songs, bhangra items and speeches. Vikram Singh Sambyal, Headmaster of the school threw light on the importance of the day.
Bharatiya Vidya Mandir, Bain Glarh celebrated Republic Day, in which students from adjoining schools also participated. On the occasion, students presented various cultural items and prizes were distributed among them.
