JAMMU, Dec 13: Six persons were injured in separate road accidents in different parts of Jammu region.
According to a police spokesperson, a pedestrian namely Harbans Lal (70) son of late Munshi Ram, a resident of Janipur was hit and left injured by an auto at Rehari Chungi. He was immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu.
At Flayen Mandaal area of city outskirts, a Tata 207 hit a bike and left injured its rider. The injured person identified as Deep Kumar (25) son of Rattan Lal, a resident of Swanjana, was shifted to GMCH Jammu for treatment.
In another case, a pedestrian identified as Bishan Dass (65) son of Beli Ram, resident of Gole Gujral, was hit and left injured by a car at Gole Gujral. He was also shifted to GMCH Jammu.
A youth namely Harmeet Singh (29) son of Ranjeet Singh of Kathua was also severely injured when the bike he was riding on got slipped at Kathua. He was also rushed to GMCH for treatment.
An unknown male aged about 40 years was also hit by an unknown vehicle at Mishriwala. In serious condition he was shifted to GMCH for treatment.
A woman pedestrian namely Shareefa Begum (52) wife of Mohd Zaman, a resident of Poonch was also hit and left injured by a Sumo at Mandi area of Poonch. She is also undergoing treatment at GMCH.
In all the cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
