JAMMU, Jan 27: Six persons were injured when a Maruti van rolled down into a gorge at village Pachound today.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place when the Omni van bearing registration No. JK-14A/ 8491 was on its way from Dudu-Basantgarh to Shivgali. Near Pachound, the driver lost control and the vehicle was fell into 70 feet deep gorge.
The police party rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Lati hospital. One of them was later referred to District Hospital, Udhampur. The injured were identified as Suresh Kumar and Naresh Kumar (twins of 23 yrs), sons of Girdhari Lal, Kewal Kumar, son of Mansa Ram, Joginder Kumar, son of Krishan Kumar, all residents of Pachound. Dudu Police has registered a case in this connection.
