JAMMU, Mar 11: Six gamblers were today arrested by police from Sector No. 2 at Channi Himmat along with stake money and playing cards.
On specific information, police nabbed six persons while gambling. They have been identified as Asaram son of Diaram, Asiram son of Dalwaram, Sonu son of Gori Lal, Manoj Kumar son of Hijja, Dasrath son of Nathu and Hari Aharwal son of Diaram.
Rs 4960 worth stake money and playing cards were recovered from the spot. The raid was conducted by SHO Aejaz Wani under the supervision of SDPO Trikuta Nagar Mohammad Rafiq.
A case against the accused has been registered under Gambling Act at Channi Himmat police station.
