BHADERWAH, Dec 27: A Lok Adalat was held in the District Court Complex under the chairmanship of Mohinder Kumar Sharma, Principal, District and Sessions Judge.
Two benches were constituted to deal with the matters referred to Lok Adalat by the courts.
The first bench was presided over by Mohinder Kumar Sharma, Principal, District and Sessions Judge and assisted by Abdul Wahid, Advocate. A total of 12 cases were taken up, out of which 5 cases were settled. An award to the tune of Rs 6,15,000 was passed and an amount of Rs 2,48,000 was recovered on spot.
The second bench comprised of Kamlesh Pandit, Sub Judge, JMIC and assisted by Meyank Gupta, Munsiff, JMIC. A total of 15 cases were taken up, out of which 1 case was decided.
