UDHAMPUR, Apr 12: Police foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling at Nikki Nala area and rescued six bovines besides arresting the alleged smuggler.
Police team of Police Post Roun Domail, while performing vehicle checking at Nikki Nala area, noticed movement of six bovines, which were being taken on foot towards Kashmir valley without any valid permission.
All the bovines were rescued and the accused person namely Arshad Ahmed, son of Alf Din of Hingi Shagnan, District Ramban was arrested on the spot.
In this connection, a case FIR number 118/2025, under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Udhampur and further investigation of the case is going on.
