RAMBAN, Aug 8: Banihal police rescued eight bovine animals and arrested a smuggler.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police team from Banihal police station laid a naka and intercepted a TATA mobile bearing registration number JK02W-2386.
During checking, police rescued 6 bovine animals and arrested the driver of the vehicle, who has been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmed, son of Baz Ahmed of Darmound Batote.
A case under FIR number 98/14 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PC Act has been registered at police station Banihal and investigation started.
