JAMMU, July 11: The Border Security Force (BSF) today arrested six Bangladeshis when they were trying to exfiltrate to Pakistan from the International Border (IB) along river Tawi in Makwal sector of Jammu.
Alert troops of the BSF spotted the Bangladeshi nationals moving close to the IB at 5.30 am today and arrested them. They were handed over to the police later.
They have been identified as Abdul Hamid, 23, son of Mohammad Sultan, Mohammad Ismail, 21, son of Rashid Ahmad, Mohammad Sohail Rana son of Abu Tahir, Nurul Ameen son of Rashid Ahmad, Safi Alam son of Ali Ahmad and Manzoor Alam son of Abdul Sukur, all residents of Cox Bazaar, Bangladesh.
Some SIM cards, medicines, clothes, currency and other personal belongings of the militants were recovered from the possession of arrested Bangladeshi nationals.
Police have registered a case against the Bangladeshis for further investigations.
