JAMMU, Sept 24: Sainik Colony police arrested six gamblers along with Rs 13390 stake money and playing cards.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Post Sainik Colony led by SI Rahul Dogra raided at Jallo Chak area and apprehended six gamblers along with Rs 13390 stake money and one deck of playing cards.
The arrested gamblers were identified as Mukesh Raikwar, son of Shankar Raikwar of Chattarpu Zilla MP, at present Bari Brahamana, Karan Charak, son of Krishan Singh Charak of Jallo Chak,
Sumit Kangotra, son of Baldev Raj of Bari Brahamana, Kailash Airhwar, son of Kallu of Nawabad Bathindi, Lucky Sharma, son of Surinder Sharma of Sarore Adda and Ravi Kumar, son of Surinder Kumar of Bari Brahamana Doliyain.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered against the arrested gamblers at Police Station Channi Himmat.
The overall arrest and recoveries were made under the supervision of SDPO East Bikram Kumar.
