5th module of ‘Women Self Defence Training’ organized

KATHUA, Apr 25: While continuing endeavour of mass crusade to strengthen, protect women against women related crime, police together with school and college going girls organized 5th module of “Women Self Defence Training”.
The training programme has been organized under the directions and supervision of SSP Kathua Neeva Jain at SPS Police Training School (PTS) here.
It will be 7 days training module in which around 250 girls from different institutions are participating.
On the occasion, Principal PTS Kathua Sanjeev Khajuria, DySP Headquarters Kathua Ajay Sharma besides other officers were also presents.
While addressing the students, Principal PTS Kathua and DySP Headquarters Kathua briefed the participants about their rights and importance of self defence training.
It is pertinent to mention here that the initiative have been taken up by District Police Kathua to give physical self defence training to young girls to protect themselves from any crime against women, aware themselves about related legal provisions and effective use of techniques like pepper spray, nanchak etc for self defence.
