SRINAGAR, Mar 31: The 5th Jammu & Kashmir UT-Level Carrom Championship 2025-26 culminated at Sher-i-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex, Wazirbagh. Organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Carrom Association and hosted by District Srinagar Carrom Association under the J&K Sports Council’s “My Youth My Pride” initiative, the event saw participation of over 350 players from 13 districts, representing schools, colleges and institutions across the Union Territory.
In Cadet Girls, Saeedah Adil claimed first place, Ayesha Aijaz second, and Hadiya Fayaz third. Cadet Boys saw Hassan Adil (Srinagar) top the podium, followed by Numan Imtiyaz (Kulgam) and Zaveer Mehraj (Baramulla). Sub-Junior Girls winners were Saeedah Adil, Safiya Ahad and Maheena, while Sub-Junior Boys winners included Hassan Adil, Faizan Firdous (Baramulla) and Umer Hassan (Police Public School).
In Junior categories, Saeedah Adil won Junior Girls, with Arooba Suhail and Ayat Imtiyaz as runners-up. Junior Boys winner was Ayaan Maqsood, followed by Ayaan Shalla and Hasham-ul-Hassan. Senior Girls podium featured Asra Shafi, Anzalna Rafiq and Kazima Khursheed. Senior Men winners were Shahid Ahmad, Furqan Nazir and Arsalan Mehraj.
Team championships went to JKPP School (Boys) and Green Valley (Girls). The closing ceremony was graced by chief guest Nusrat Gazala and other dignitaries, who felicitated the winners with trophies, medals, and certificates.
