JAMMU: Some motorcycle borne youths allegedly snatched amount worth lakhs from a cash delivery van of a company in posh Trikuta Nagar locality here.
“A company named Checkmate was carrying Rs 18 lakh in a van for depositing it in a bank this afternoon when two motorcycle-borne youths intercepted the vehicle near Vishal Mega Mart in the Trikuta Nagar area,” police here said.
They said the miscreants fired one round in air and pointed the gun towards van driver.
“They snatched Rs 18 lakh (as per complainants) from them when they were delivering an amount to the bank from depositing,” police added. (AGENCIES)
