NEW DELHI, July 14: Soybean prices slipped by Rs 22 to Rs 2,962 per quintal in futures trade today as operators cut down bets in tune with subdued overseas sentiments.
Marketmen said the fall in soybean prices at futures market was mostly due to offloading of positions by participants, tracking a weak trend in global markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean for August moved down by Rs 22, or 0.74 per cent, to Rs 2,962 per quintal, with a business turnover of 74,800 open lots.
Likewise, soybean for delivery in the current month was trading lower by Rs 20, or 0.69 per cent, to Rs 2,880 per quintal, depicting an open interest of 7,270 lots. (PTI)
