SRINAGAR:Governor N N Vohra, who has called special session of Legislature on June 17, was today briefed about the broad framework of the proposed legislation to enforce Goods and Services Tax in the State.
An official spokesman said here this evening that Minister for Finance Dr Haseeb Ahmad Drabu met Mr Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today. Dr Drabu briefed the Governor about the decisions taken in the yesterday’s Cabinet meeting and explained the broad framework of the proposed legislation to enforce Goods and Services Tax in J&K.
The Governor discussed with the Finance Minister several issues regarding effective fiscal management and its direct co-relation with increased resource mobilisation which is inescapable for advancing the pace of socio-economic development of the State. (AGENCIES)
