JAMMU, Apr 9: Following the directions of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and national president BJP, JP Nadda, an initiative was taken up by the Jammu West Unit of the party in which 500 hand-made face masks which were prepared by the party leader, Urvashi Gupta were handed over to district president, Munish Khajuria in presence of former State president, BJP and Ex MLA, Sat Sharma (CA).
Pertinent to mention, this initiative has been taken up by BJP at national level to cope up with the shortage of face masks across the country. Mandal president, Janipur Raveesh Mengi and incharge for face cover initiative, Annu Behnal were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that it is indeed a major step taken to combat the spread the COVID-19 and activists across Jammu West are already on the job and preparing masks at their homes and further distributing to people across Jammu which depicts that in these tough times, BJP is on the ground and is helping people in every way possible.
He also stated that besides this nearly 6000 families constituting 24000 souls across Assembly segment have been provided with free groceries and other things at their doorsteps which has helped many people overcoming many problems in this hard situation. He appealed masses to contribute towards PM CARES Fund as we all are fighting this battle together and it is our duty in these times to help the needy.
Munish Khajuria said that teams have been constituted up to booth level, which are identifying people who really are in dire need and our activists are providing them every help possible so that no person is left behind in these tough times. He also appealed everyone to download AAROGYA SETU APP launched by Government of India to get updated with latest information regarding COVID-19. Sudhir Gupta, Rocky Raina were also present on the occasion.
