Over 500 benefit from army medical camp

SRINAGAR, Dec 10: Army today said it along with civil administration organized a medical camp in Dardpora village of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district and the camp benefited over 500 patients.
A defence spokesman said relentless drive by the civil administration and army to bring medical relief at the doorsteps of the people especially in the remote areas has contributed significantly to the improvement in their health and hygiene conditions.
“On the heels of two medical camps that were organised in Kupwara only yesterday, another such camp was conducted by the Army at village Dardpura today bringing succour to over 500 beneficiaries of Dardpura and its adjoining villages of Vasarkot, Rationpura and Thindipura,” he said.
The spokesman said ateam of doctors from Sub Division Hospital, Karalpura and Army were available at the camp who provided free consultation and medication to the patients.
The womenfolk were able to show themselves to the lady doctor from the Army, the defence spokesman said, adding that a veterinary team also formed part of the camp which treated over 300 cattle and livestock.
