KARGIL, Oct 15: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) UT Ladakh SS Khandare visited District Police Lines (DPL) here.
ADGP inaugurated canteen in DPL in presence of Anayat Ali Chowdhary, SP Kargil, Chowdhary Iftikhar Ahmed, Additional SP Kargil, Kameshwar Puri, Staff Officer to ADGP UT Ladakh, Rafi Giri, SP Traffic Ladakh, Gourav Mahajan, SP Security, UT Ladakh and other police officers.
Later, ADGP conducted a meeting with the jawans. ADGP listened the issues of the police personnel and SPOs put forth by them and assured them to resolve the issues.
ADGP Ladakh while addressing the meeting informed the SPOs that 50 per cent post of follower shall be reserved for SPOs and for this they must have diploma certificate through ITI in a particular trade and advised them to get training in different trades as per their interest for taking benefit to convert into follower.
ADGP also informed the SPOs that new constabulary recruitment in Ladakh Police will be conducted in the next year for which they were advised to regularly practice as per the exam pattern.
ADGP also inspected ongoing new constructions buildings of DPO Kargil, Police Station Kargil, barracks and multipurpose building at DPL Kargil.
