POONCH, July 23: Police today seized 50 kg Bhukki (poppy straw) from a Honda car and arrested three inter-State drug peddlers in this connection.
The car, bearing registration number CH04B-3711, was intercepted at Pushana on the Mughal Road, by a Police party from Surankot, led by SHO Surankot Anzir Mir. Police seized the Bhukki as well as the driver and arrested all the three persons, traveling in the vehicle.
The arrested accused were identified as Surjit Singh (driver), son of Jagjeet Singh of Jalandhar, Pawandeep Singh, son of Tara Singh of Ludhiana and Rajdeep Singh, son of Major Singh of Ludhiana.
A case under relevant section has been registered in this connection at Police Station Surankot.
