Srinagar, Nov 6: Days after constitution of Municipal Committee, at least 50 persons have been bitten by stray dogs in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district today.
A pack of stray dogs appeared in Kantbagh area this morning and attacked scores of people, thereby injuring at least 50 persons.
All the injured were taken to District Hospital Baramulla for treatment but the anti-rabbi vaccines were not available in the hospital that created difficulties for the attendants.
Reports said that the newly elected members and officials of Baramulla Municipal Committee are yet to wake up from deep slumber even after 50 persons were bitten by stray dogs.
When contacted Medical Superintendent District Hospital Baramulla, Dr Syed Masood said “45 persons bitten by stray dogs came to us but they were not seriously injured. They were properly treated and discharged immediately.”
