50 bovine animals rescued

RAJOURI, July 8:  Foiling two bovine smuggling bids, Rajouri police today rescued fifty animals in Budhal and Sunderbani areas.
A police team of Budhal Police Station, led by SHO Jahanger Ahmed, was on routine patrolling duty at Kangota and Nanga Thub area when they noticed movement of some bovine smugglers and accordingly a trap was laid and they were intercepted.
A total of 40 bovines were rescued from the smugglers who include Khadam Hussain, son of Kassar Din and Abdul Quyoom, son of Kag Hussain, both residents of Gundha Khawas.
A case FIR No 48/2018 U/S 188 RPC and 3 PCA has been registered in this connection at PS Budhal.
Another bovine smuggling bid was foiled by police when a team of Sunderbani Police Station under the supervision of SHO Sunderbani Tilak Raj was on patrolling in Marchola village. Police team noticed movement of some bovine smugglers marching on foot, who fled from the spot leaving behind ten bovines, which were taken into possession by police.
A case under relevant sections has been registered while search of smugglers is going on.
