RAJOURI, June 10: The police seized five vehicles along with 24 bovine animals in district Rajouri last night.
Official sources said that police party from Chingus led by SI Fareed Ahmed intercepted two Tata Mobile vehicles during last mid night and rescued ten bovine animals. The drivers/ smugglers managed to escape from the spot.
Another police party from Rajouri led by SHO Tahir Khan intercepted Tata Mobile vehicles JK11B/ 4885, JK11B/ 4679 and JK02AS/ 4645 and found 14 bovine animals loaded in them. The police seized the vehicles and rescued cattle. They were being taken to Kashmir. The police also claimed that all the smugglers managed to escape. Cases have been registered in this connection.
