SAMBA, June 12: In continuation to its drive against illegal mining and illegal transportation of construction material, Samba Police today seized five vehicles including one Tipper, two Dumpers and two JCBs in the jurisdiction of PS Bari Brahmana and PS Vijaypur.
A police team of PS Bari Brahmana while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area, seized one JCB bearing Registration Number JK21E-1180 and one Tipper Registration Number JK21-7768 used for illegal transportation/mining of construction material.
In another similar incident, a police team of PS Vijaypur while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area, seized one JCB without Registration Number & two dumpers bearing Registration Number JK14E-9298 & JK02CN-7703 which were used for illegal transportation/mining of construction material.
All the five vehicles seized by Samba police in the above mentioned incidents have been handed over to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
