5 vehicles damaged in fire incident

POONCH, Oct 17: Two vehicles were completely gutted while three others suffered partial damage in a fire incident at Surankote town in Poonch district today.

Official sources said that these vehicles were parked near Tehsil Complex, Surankote, when suddenly in the morning they were found in flames. The locals raised alarm and intimated Police and the Fire and Emergency Services sleuths.
“Teams reached the spot and extinguished the fire but two SUV vehicles were totally gutted and three parked with them were partially in flames”, they added.
As per the information, Registration Number of two gutted vehicles are PB35M- 7310 (Scorpio), and JK02BL- 0718 (Bolero).
Senior Police officers in Surankote confirmed the incident and said that Police has taken the cognizance of the matter. One suspect has been detained in the case and his medical examination is being conducted. The locals alleged that this was the handiwork of a local youth who was found roaming near the spot.
Detained person has been identified as Shakar Hussain, son of Imdad Hussain, a resident of Sangla, at present Surankote.
