5 teachers suspended

RAJOURI, May 15: Chief Education Officer, Rajouri, M A Rather today placed five teachers of a Govt School in Darhal zone under suspension for being absent from duty.
Official sources said that CEO Rajouri during surprise visit to Govt Middle School Leeran, in Darhal on Tuesday found 5 teachers absent from duty. They had not reported even till 8.25 am and only three students had arrived school by that time.
Annoyed over the situation, the CEO suspended all the five teachers and attached them to different schools out of zone. Theose suspended were identified as Nazir Hussain-Master, Parveen Akhtar, Munshi Khan, Khalid Mehmood and Mohd Ashraf- all teachers.
The CEO talked to the students and their parents and also later checked the record. It was found that for the last two years no mid-day meals was served to the students. He initiated inquiry into the matter. In Govt PS Palyarni only two students were found in school and one teacher. He directed for clubbing of this school with another one in the area. He also directed for cancellation of all the attachments of teachers/ Masters in Darhal Zone.
