JAMMU, July 23: In a significant decision, K Rajendra, who relinquished the charge as DGP today and resumed his posting as Additional DG Law and Order and Armed, detached all Inspectors of Armed Police, who were working with executive police for past quite sometime.
The detached Inspectors included four SHOs posted in Jammu district and one in Udhampur district.
SHO Trikuta Nagar Sunil Jasrotia, SHO Jhajjar Kotli, Yashvir Singh Slathia, SHO Pir Mitha, Abdul Rehman and SHO Miran Sahib, Sukhbir Singh have been detached from executive police and asked to report back to the Armed Police.
SHO Ramnagar Inspector Vishal Sharma in Udhampur district, Inspectors Javed Naz and Anita Katal in Special Operations Group (SOG) and Inspector Raghubir Singh in Kathua district have also been detached.
Source said the decision was taken in view of shortage of officers in the Armed Police.
