KATRA, July 30: Five passengers were injured, two of them seriously in a head-on collision between two passenger buses on Katra-Domail road near Myaari village.
The critically injured, who include one of the drivers and a woman passenger, have been referred to GMC Jammu.
The accident took place around 4:30pm when the bus bearing number JK02F-9123 on way from Katra to Jammu was overtaking a car and in the process collided head-on with another bus bearing JK02S-6925 coming from Jammu.
The injured were identified as Yashpal (driver of bus number JK02A-6925) son of Moolraj of Reasi, Sheela (50) wife of Panna of Kashi, Mohd. Farooq (18) son of Abdul Rahid of Mohore, Mohd. Mustaq (89) son of Gulam Hussain of Rajouri, Dhashrat Pandit (32) son of Ganesh Pandit of Bihar, Abdul Gaffar(30) son of Surajdin of Kotcharwal, Distt. Rajouri and Ashok Kumar (38) son of Subsaram of Akhnoor.
The injured were shifted to Katra hospital where doctors referred driver Yashpal and Sheela to GMC Jammu in view of their critical condition.
