JAMMU, May 17: Five persons were injured due to lightning during thunder storm in Mahore area of Reasi and and Balakote area of Poonch today.
A police spokesman said that four girls were injured and two cattle killed due to lightning at Tukson village in Mahore Sub Division. They were identified as Jameela Bano, Dilshad Akhtar, Janti Bi and Jameela Bi. They were shifted to Mahore hospital.
In yet another similar incident at village Basuni in Balakote area of Mendhar, 16-year-old Amjad Khan, son of Shabir Khan (SGC), resident of Basuni was injured during lightning today. The incident took place when he had gone top nearby fields with cattle. He was provided first aid at nearby Army unit hospital and later shifted to SDH Mendhar.
