DODA, June 15: Five persons including two women were injured when the van in which they were traveling skidded off the road and rolled down into a gorge near Baggar, Assar early this morning.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK06-7578 was on its way to Gandoh from Jammu when it skidded off the road and rolled down into a 50 feet gorge at Baggar, Assar at 6 am today.
After getting information, police and locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Public Health Centre (PHC) Assar, where their condition was stated to be stable, when reports last came in.
The injured have been identified as Zahida Begum, wife of Ghulam Hussain, Tafreeqa Begum, wife of Shahid Hussain, Ashiq Hussain, son of Abdul Aziz, trio residents of Gandoh, Shahid Hussain and Sadam Hussain. Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
