JAMMU, Feb 1: Gandhi Nagar police today arrested five gamblers and recovered Rs 8800 from their possession in Sanjay Nagar area.
The arrested gamblers have been identified as Parveen Kumar and Sanjay Manhas, both residents of Nanak Nagar, Kirpal Singh of Dilli, Hari Ram and Sheru of Sanjay Nagar.
All the accused have been booked under Section 13, Gambling Act.
Police parties headed by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Gurmeet Singh made the arrests of gamblers under the supervision of SP City (South) Rajeshwar Singh.
