5 from Kargil dead, 2 injured in mishap

SRINAGAR, Nov 6: At least five persons died and two others were injured in a tragic road accident on NH-44 near Wanpoo area of South Kashmir Kulgam district last night.
Police said that a truck bearing registration number RJ 19 GD 834 collided with I-10 car bearing registration number JK01X 6109 on the highway resulting in the death of five people and injuries to two others.
Police has registered a case and started investigation. “The accident happened at around 1 am and the cause appeared to be over speeding, police said.
The deceased were identified as 70 year old Abdullah son of Ghulma Husain, Mansoora Daughter of Abdullah, Amina daughter of Abdulla, Kaneeza daughter of Mehmood and Mohammad Husaain son of Ghulam Mehdi. They are all resident of Kargil.
The injured were identified as Ghulam Hussain son of Abdullah and Nargis daughter of Mehmood, both residents of Panikher, Kargil.
