RAJOURI, May 1: Five cattle and at least 50 chickens were charred to death as a kutcha cattle-shed and two adjoining rooms caught fire during last night at Dhanni Dhar near Rajouri town.
Reports said the fire incident occurred during night hours at the residence of Mirza Mohd Munshi, resident of Dhanour Jarallan, near A to Z Academy in Dhanni Dhar area in which three buffaloes, two goats and fifty chickens were killed.
A large quantity of grains including wheat, maize, wooden furniture beds clothes blankets, kept in adjoining two rooms were also completely burnt. Some portion of the house was however, saved by Firemen and locals. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
