REASI, July 5: Police today rescued five bovine animals that were being smuggled to Kashmir via Nikkin Gali in Mahore area.
On a specific information that some persons were on way, alongwith bovine animals, towards Kashmir via Nikkin Gali without any legal permission, a Police team from PP Dewal, laid a special naka at Arital. Police team intercepted the accused and rescued five bovine animals from his possession.
The accused was identified as Abdul Rashid, son of Mohd Sultan of Gulabgarh, Mahore, who was arrested on the spot.
In this connection, case under FIR No.44/2016 U/S 188 RPC has been registered at P/S Mahore and investigation is in progress.
