49 bovine animals rescued, 2 smugglers held

REASI, Sept 4:  Reasi Police rescued 49 bovine animals and arrested two smugglers from Gulabgarh area in Mahore.
The accused were held when they were on way to Kashmir valley along with the animals for smuggling.
Acting on  a specific information  that some persons were  on way towards Kashmir along with bovine animals without any legal permission and had  reached near Arital Nanihala Gulabgarh,  a Police team from SPP Gulabgarh rushed to the spot under the supervision of SHO Mahore,  Inspector Rumal Singh, SDPO Mahore  Ayaz Ahmed  and rescued 49 bovine animals.  32 animals were rescued from the possession of accused  Ghulam Mohd Sheikh of  Neoch  Mahore and 17 bovines from the possession of other  accused  namely Qamar Din of Neoch.
Both the accused persons were  arrested and a case  under Section  188 RPC was  registered in this connection at Police Station Mahore.
