47 bovines rescued, 4 arrested

JAMMU, May 28: Nagrota Police rescued 47 bovine animals and arrested 4 smugglers.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nagrota Police Station laid a naka near Ban Toll Plaza and intercepted four trucks bearing registration numbers JK13A-8651, JK02AL-7987, JK02AC-6637 and JK02AQ-0586.
During checking, police team rescued 47 bovine animals and arrested four smugglers, who were identified as Mohammad Shafi of Talwara District Reasi, Talib Hussain of Zero Morh District Reasi, Mohammad Fareed, son of Abdul Waheed of District Reasi and Abdul Rasheed, son of Mohammad Sharief of District Reasi.
Cases under FIR Numbers 210/2020, 211/2020, 212/2020 and 213/2020 under relevant section of law have been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shokat made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma and SP Rural Suram Singh.
