44 test +ve for COVID in J&K

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/LEH, Feb 1: Forty four persons today tested positive for COVID-19 including eight in Jammu region and 36 in the Valley while 83 others recovered from the virus.
Of eight fresh cases reported in Jammu region, seven were from Jammu district and one Ramban while rest eight districts didn’t report any new COVID positive case.
Nineteen persons recovered from the virus in Jammu region, all in Jammu district.
Jammu region now has 51561 Corona cases. Of them, 157 are active positives while 50683 have recovered and there have been 721 casualties in the region.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 36 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 15 from Srinagar, 1 Baramulla, 3 Budgam, 4 Pulwama, 3 Kupwara, 2 Anantnag, 1 Bandipora, 3 Ganderbal, 1 Kulgam and 3 from Shopian.
As per officials figures, 26,227 positive cases including 456 deaths and 25,557 recoveries are from Srinagar, 8,119 including 174 deaths and 7,904 recoveries are from Baramulla, 7,771 including 7,620 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Budgam, 5,724 including 5,584 recoveries and 88 deaths are from Pulwama, 5,662 including 95 deaths and 5,536 recoveries are from Kupwara, 4,905 including 4,767 recoveries and 85 deaths are from Anantnag, 4,693 cases including 4,610 and 61 deaths are from Bandipora, 4,619 including 4,522 recoveries and 46 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,696 including 2,616 recoveries and 54 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,573 including 2,506 recoveries and 39 deaths are from Shopian.
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 72,989 including 71,222 recoveries and 1,215 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 709 including 552 from Kashmir division.
With 83 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 121,905 which is 97.87 percent of the total cases.
Meanwhile, the Union Territory of Ladakh today reported four COVID positive cases, all in Leh district.
