RAJOURI, Nov 22: The Revenue authorities retrieved about 427 kanals of Government land from the encroachers in Thanna Mang and Ujhan area of Rajouri district.
Official sources said that under the supervision of Tehsildar Darhal Mumtaz Mirza a joint team held eviction drive from State and Kahcherai land in village Thanamang and Ujhan. One team was led by Naib Tehsildar Darhal Mohd Rafiq Wani along with Patwari halqa Sheraz Ahmed Shah and other team led by Mohd Hanief Naib Tehsildar Ujhan along with concerned Patwari halqa Naiz Ahmed and Abid Javaid Mir along with Numberdars/ chowkidars and police party from Police Station Darhal.
During this eviction drive 150 kanals of land was retrieved in village Thanamang and 277 kanals 14 marla from village Ujhan. This Government land was revived from illegal occupation of some people since about a decade.
