41 bovines being smuggled via Mughal Road seized

RAJOURI, Aug 20: The police foiled two bovines smuggling attempt to Kashmir via Mughal Road and rescued 41 cattle in Rajouri area last night.
Official sources said that  Police teams from Police Station Rajouri headed by SHO Rajouri Tahir Khan laid a naka at different locations in the town and foiled three separate bovine smuggling bids and  rescued a total of  26 bovine animals from the clutches of smugglers.
The police claimed to have some arrests in this regard.
Another police team headed by SHO Thanamandi, Nazir Ahmad Dar  laid a naka  and  during  checking at upper bridge Thanamandi,  a Tatamobile bearing registration number JK11C-7834 driven by  Mohd Junaid, son of Mohd Sharief, resident of Gudyog -Budhal was intercepted .  Seven bovine animals loaded in the vehicle were rescued.
Another Tatamobile  bearing registration number JK11C-4668  driven by  Mohd Amin, son of Bagh Hussain, resident of Badhoon -Rajouri was also intercepted at naka point and during search 8 bovine bovine  animals were found loaded and were rescued.
Both the drivers have been arrested and  vehicles seized.
