Over 40 CEOs attend launching of Jammu Chapter of KP Startup

JAMMU, Oct 7: With a vision to create a platform for the KP Startups and Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to come together and grow, Kashmiri Pandit Youth officially launched Jammu Chapter of KP of Startup & Business Conference here today.
The ecosystem aims to nurture entrepreneurship and facilitating success stories. They also aim at assisting in reaching out to SMEs, potential customers, Angels and Venture Capitalists (VCs).
As a part of this initiative & pre-launch, the first KP Startup Conference was organized in NCR Delhi on the April 7, this year and the second KP Startups B2B Conference was held in Pune on July 8.
More than 40 CEOs, business leaders, Investors and Innovators attended today’s conference. New products of the community were launched and new startups were encouraged in the Conference.
The program was streamed live through our own KP Startups community Music App Booziv Studio. Booziv is already available on the Android App Store and will be available for download from IOS in the near future. The conference was watched live by more than 1800 KPs world wide on the BOOZIV App.
Addressing the conference, co-convenor & spokesperson, Rohit Kachroo, KP Startups, said, “It is high time that our concentration shifts to the economic issues plaguing the community. Our youth is constantly in search of jobs, lacks opportunities, infrastructure and dependent either on Government or private institutions for employment. We need to be economically self-sustained and KP Startups is a platform to change the Job oriented mindset and for all to come on one common platform helping each other to grow and prosper.”
Umesh Talashi, another co-convener, KP Startups in his address appealed to the youth to change their mindset from Job seeker to Job creators. He said, “We have suffered economically for 28 long years and its time that we shift the community focus to entrepreneurship. The time to create this ecosystem has arrived and KP Startups is an answer to the same”, he added.
Amongst the delegates present were the president of the Press Club, Ashwani Kumar, Filmmaker Kapil Mattoo, Anil Dhar, Sanjeev Kokru, Ashim Khooda, Rahul Pandit and many other eminent KP entrepreneurs.
The core team and organizers of Jammu Conference were Rakesh Ganjoo, Umesh Talashi, Uday Tikoo, Vikrant Koul, Vikram Koul, Abbinow Talashi & Rohit Kachroo.
