RAJOURI, May 2: The police arrested four persons along with cash and consignment of charas in Nowshera area today.
Official sources said that a police team from Nowshera headed by SHO, Sumit Magotra under the supervision of SDPO Nowshera, Jaswant Singh during patrolling in Bareri area, noticed four persons under suspicious condition. The police intercepted them and during questioning and frisking, recovered 410 grams charas and Rs 58,000 cash from their possession. They were arrested on the spot.
The accused were identified as Sunil Kumar, son of Pritam Dass, resident of Bareri; Gagandeep Sharma, son of Mangat Ram, resident of Ward 9, Nowshera; Sandeep Chandan, son of Khem Raj, resident of Dhabber and Krishna Bhasin, son of Raman Bhasin, resident of Nowshera.
Taking cognizance of the matter, the police registered a case FIR No. 52/2024 under relevant sections of law against the accused persons in Police Station, Nowshera. Further investigation was in progress.
